Justin Tanzillo
At first glance math teacher Justin Tanzillo looked like he could be a student here at Buhach Colony. Aside from looking younger than he really is, Tanzillo was fortunate enough to give an interview for the BC Times. After graduating from Buhach Colony, Tanzillo is back for his first year of teaching.
How do you enjoy teaching at Buhach so far?
I like it. It’s fun and the kids I have are great. As long as they do their homework and get it turned in I don’t really have a due date.
What is your biggest pet peeve and why?
I hate when people take pictures of me because I find it very weird. I also hate wearing shoes, they are very uncomfortable and I walk around barefoot at work most of the time.
What is your biggest fear?
I hate centipedes, they’re so gross! Their legs and just the way they move from one place to another.
What is something no one knows about you?
Everyone thinks I’m older than I look which is really weird. They think I’m in my late twenties, which I’m not.
If you could be any animal in the world what would you be and why?
I would be a panda. Why? Because pandas are dope! They're so cool looking and who wouldn’t want to be a panda?
What is your favorite period of the day?
I love my sixth period because I get to coach.
What is your favorite genre of music?
I love rock. A couple of my favorite bands are Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam.
How does it feel to work at the same school as your parents? What’s a pro and con of working with them?
I don’t mind. I mean I went to school here and they both worked here then so it’s nothing new. I also like that my dad and I work in the same department so I can ask him for help whenever I need to and I don’t really see my mom anytime during the day since she works up in the front.
