The staff of the BC Times had a mission, to find the best car on campus. We surveyed the D academy parking lot and found a contender, but went out to F academy to survey the area for a competitor. After walking in the hot sun for what seemed like hours (at least to me). We stumbled upon a magnificent car, a 449 horsepower 1969 Mustang Fastback, right then and there we knew that it had to be the best car on campus. It has an automatic transmission with a blazing fast top speed of 115 mph. I took it upon myself to find the rightful owner, senior Andrew Morris, and find out more about the fantastic car.
Q: How does it make you feel knowing that you have the best car on campus?
A: I don’t really think of my car in that sense. Don’t get me wrong I appreciate how lucky I am, but I don’t have a boastful mindset about it.
Q: Was the car a gift or did you buy it for yourself?
A: My parents bought me the car for my 16th birthday, but they bought it before my birthday so it’d be drivable and relatable by the time I got my license.
Q:Have you modified the car in any way, or is there anything you’d like to modify?
A: Just tuning up the engine, a paint job, and cool wooden steering wheel, but everything else is original.
Q:What is your favorite thing about the car?
A: I couldn’t pick one thing. I’ve wanted this car since I was about 4 so I admire every nook and cranny of it.
