Senior Angel Hernandez at Buhach Colony High School is Athlete of the Month for the month of October. Hernandez is on the Varsity Soccer team and this is his 4th year playing for Buhach Colony. Coach Juan Medina nominated him for Athlete of the Month because he is one of the most dynamic players. Hernandez feels like he was chosen due to the fact that he’s always giving it his all on the soccer field. According to Hernandez, he feels as if Atwater High is their biggest rival. His goal by the end of the season is to beat Atwater High School. “Our team is talented and we all enjoy the sport very much,”Hernandez stated. Coach Medina’s goal by the end of the season is to win Central California Conference. With the team’s hard work and dedication, they expect to end their season strong by giving it their all.
What position do you play and what number do you represent on the field?
I play center- mid and I represent #10.
What is your favorite professional soccer team and soccer player?
My favorite has to be Barcelona and Lionel Messi.
What is the best thing you like about soccer as a sport?
The soccer ball, can’t play soccer without a soccer ball.
Why do you play soccer?
I play soccer because it is the most physical sport and I just love it.
What motivates you to play soccer?
It has to be achieving my goals.
What is one thing you can say about your team?
We are all very talented and we enjoy the sport.
Being a senior, do you plan on playing in college?
Yes, I would love to.

You have to know how to get along and interact with each other.
