Junior Kaylee Robertson at Buhach Colony High School is Athlete of the Month for September. Robertson is on the Varsity Water Polo team and it’s her 3rd year playing for Buhach Colony. Mark Tanzillo nominated her for Athlete of the Month because she showed the biggest improvement since the beginning of the year. Coach Tanzillo’s goal by the end of the year is to be as good as any team out there. With the team’s hard work and their dedication, they expect to have a great season.
Why do you think you got chosen for Athlete of the Month?
I feel like I got chosen due to the fact that I’m easy to coach and I don’t get mad if I’m told I am doing something wrong.
What’s your favorite thing about water polo?
I like the fact that it’s a team effort.
What school do you think will be the most competitive?
I feel like Golden Valley will be our biggest rival because they’re really good this year.
What’s your goal by the end of the season?
My goal by the end of the season is to become a starter.
What can you say about your team overall?
We play well together and still have time to improve on some stuff.
