Senior Regina Navarro is a huge and powerful asset on the Varsity Girls Water Polo team. Not only is she strong, but she is a leader in the cage and in the game. There is no stopping the Navarro Powerhouse on defense! Head Coach Justin Tanzillo is proud to have Regina in the game and states that the team would be so much different without her. “Regina's play this year has greatly improved from last year. She has been working hard, and she has become a powerhouse in the cage that is a great addition to our already great defense. We would have a much different team if we didn't have such a strong goalkeeper.” Navarro has played major roles in finishing important games this season. “Regina is the captain of our defense as the goalkeeper.
She tells people where to go and where we need to cover up defensively. She also has had multiple great saves this year that have ultimately won us the game. Regina's biggest strength that she brings to the team is her attitude. It is infectious. She is always pumped up to play, and she has a certain way about her that gets the rest of the girls ready to play as well. She is a huge part of our team, and our season would be |

very different if we did not have her in the cage.” Tanzillo has huge confidence in his women’s team of power, and he is also ultimately proud of their performance so far this season.
Q: How does it feel to be elected Athlete of the Month?
It feels good to be elected Athlete of the Month. I work hard and I am a team player, so it’s good to be recognized.
Q: How do you feel about your team this year?
I definitely have a great feeling with my team, I’m very proud of them. We work hard every day and it’s paying off. We came a long way in this program, for the last two years and even before that we’ve lost almost all of our games. This is definitely the best year we’re ever going to have in polo, couldn’t be more proud of them.
Q: If you could have a superpower what would it be?
My superpower would be to predict the future because I would want to know how my life will end up carrying out.
Q: What’s one thing not very many people know about you?
One thing not very many people know about me is that I don’t like to make new friends. I mean, I talk to people but I’m really shy when it comes to meeting people. If I have a friend it’s going to be for years!
