Editor in Chief It has been a historic year for Buhach Colony’s volleyball program. Along with Buhach’s women’s volleyball team’s journey to State Championships, a lot is in store for Buhach Colony’s first men’s volleyball team. Each teammate plays important roles when it comes to the men’s volleyball team’s performance, however, the leadership of junior Oscar Ramos has pushed and strengthened his teammates; as well as received the satisfaction of coach Andy Hill. “Oscar deserves this. He has been working hard to improve himself and the team. He helped lead the team to a victory over El Capitan and is first in the league in kills.” Although Ramos is praised for his leadership, he doesn’t use “normal” techniques. Coach Hill states, “Oscar

How does it feel to be elected Athlete of the Month?
I’m surprised but it feels really good to be elected Athlete of the Month!!
How does it feel to be apart of the first ever Men’s Volleyball team at Buhach Colony?
It feels awesome to know that I am a part of the first ever Men’s volleyball team here at Buhach. I’m sure it will continue to grow and strengthen.
Do you see a possible post seasonal window of opportunity for your team?
I do see a post seasonal window for my team, we work hard and continue to improve every day.
What is your favorite memory so far with your team this season? In the game, during practice and outside of the court altogether?
My favorite memory so far with my team in a game was beating El Capitan at their house. My favorite memory with the team during practice has to be playing Neville’s pepper. It’s a fun and elevating drill. My favorite memory outside of the gym is definitely the drives to and from games, they are electric and fun. Plenty of good conversations and good times.
