Aziz Shittu is an alumni of our beloved Buhach Colony high school. “Aziz Shittu has represented Buhach Colony in the highest manner on and off the field since attending Stanford”, Kevin Navarra stated. He graduated in 2012 and promptly thereafter went to Stanford University.
Shittu has had an article written about him on espn.com and was cited to be the most important player on the Stanford Cardinals. “All players are equal but some players are more equal than others” this quote describes Shittu and how important he is to the team. Its seems that he will go a long way due to the fact that he is a great defensive line player. He’s had 13 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1 sack, 1 pass breakup, and that was all done in just the five games before he suffered a season-ending injury.
Shittu was injured and tore his knee. This led to a poor season ending for the Cardinals and it hurt the team not having his presence. He wasn’t able to attend spring practice this year due to the fact that he was recovering from his last injury but he is scheduled to be back in September of 2015. Many people look up to him and await his presence back on the field and to admire the great defensive player he is.
Being that this is his last season, he will have the ability to wear John Elway’s jersey. For the people that do not know who John Elway is, he was a Stanford player and now is the General Manager for the Denver Broncos. How exciting and incredible to know that Aziz Shittu, a student that came to our school, is having the opportunity to wear Elway’s jersey. Not only that, but he is also expected to be the last one to wear #7 as well. This really shows that he is a football legend and has a great career ahead of him.
