Principal Steve Hobbs chose teacher of the month to be Timothy Ericksen. Yeah that 6ft. 8 giant you see around school. When Hobbs was asked why he chose Ericksen for teacher of the month, he replied with “ Because he brought back the newspaper in a strong way, also it seems he really enjoys teaching by the way he talks to his students, He really pushes the students to be better.” Hobbs also revealed Ericksen's nickname, they call him “Shorty,” pretty ironic. This article has been written lowkey, so Ericksen wouldn't know it was about him. Therefore, the following questions have been asked in a very sneaky way and he suspected nothing. Will he be surprised when he see’s this article published.
Your thoughts on being selected as teacher of the month?
Certainly quite an honor. But I'd be remiss if I didn't mention some others. There are many teachers on campus that are making a difference. Mr. Freitas and his debate team are racking up wins. Mr. Alejandre is also doing great things with his computer programming classes.
If you could choose one superpower what would it be?
I would really like to fly actually. (Because who wouldn't want to see a 6ft 8 guy flying in the air “Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nooo it's Ericksen!!)
Where would you travel if money wasn’t a problem?
I'd probably go see the World War 2 sights in Europe because I find it interesting. It be pretty cool to go see Normandy and Berchtesgaden .
Who is your biggest inspiration?
My grandma, she is 93 and she still mows her lawn. She is a very strong person and always is thinking of others.
If you could spend a day with any celebrity dead or alive who would you choose?
Charles Barkley I probably wouldn't want to spend the whole day with him, maybe just for an hour.
If you can break a norm what would it be?
The only thing I can think of right now is wearing a tuxedo in a non fancy occasion.
