Buhach colony is having their Second Biennial College fair on October 28th in the BCHS gym. Look into the future and explore colleges and career interests. Students will attend the college fair during their social science class.
The college fair is something fun to look forward to. Get candy and prizes for just walking around and stopping at booths. Raffles for college gear will also be going on throughout the fair. Lots of information will be provided to students by other students and college representatives. Some of the student represented colleges include, San Francisco Academy of Art University, Arizona State University, Humboldt State University, UC San Diego, Harvard University and many more. Colleges represented by college representatives include California State University Chico, Cogswell College, Fresno Pacific University, Grand Canyon University, UC Merced and more!
Colleges aren’t the only ones attending. The US Navy, Marines, and Army will be there as well as the engineering program, International baccalaureate, and ROP. Trade and technical schools as well as community college will be in attendance. Many students seemed to really enjoy the first Biennial College fair during the 2014-15 school year. Junior Paana Zamani says she enjoyed the last college fair her freshman year “ It was very educational and I learned a lot of things, I’m really looking forward to the college fair this year”. Zamani is not the only one. Junior and AVID student Eyanah Ward agrees saying, “The college fair was a great way for me to see the different colleges and see how many colleges are out there. It was cool to talk to people and get answers that I never got answered and I think that it was very successful”. AVID teacher Robin Griffiths says, “The college fair provides an opportunity for all of our students to explore higher education possibilities through the variety of programs that will be represented. Community colleges, four year colleges and universities both public and private, trade and technical schools, and military. It should be a great day!”
