Buhach Colony Dress Code The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
By: Colby Hanning Twitter Editor
Every school enforces their own dress code. Buhach Colony is no exception. The school dress code first states, “All clothing must be worn as to not expose undergarments or midriffs standing or sitting.” It then goes on to break down into further detail all the policies for dress code. Some of these include; no spandex type pants, nothing sexually suggestive or provocative, no cultural degrading clothing, and only hats that are school colors with the school logo. Dress codes are put in place to help foster an environment conducted to learning and to prevent clothing from being a distraction to the students. But when thinking about dress code, it can often be thought sexist, old fashioned, and/or ineffective. Many believe that dress code is more lenient for boys than it is girls and that only a small portion of those breaking dress code get a dress cut. |
