The first play of the season, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, is opening October 22 at the Buhach Colony theatre performed by the Atwater Buhach Colony Productions (ABC Productions). The show opens October 22 and the play goes through to October 24, at 7:30 in the evening. The tickets are $7 per person and the recommended age is 8 and over. With an elaborate set and acting to give the audience the chills, this 1880’s Victorian era play has been brought to life.
Dr. Jekyll, played by junior Gus Garcia, who is perceived as the good side of his personality, created a formula that “releases” his true, evil self. He then becomes Mr. Hyde, who is a murderer. In the day, Jekyll is a scientist who helps law enforcement with the investigation of recent murders. At night, he becomes Hyde who is the murderer. Throughout the play, you see the conflict between Jekyll and Hyde over which personality will take over Jekyll’s decisions. A show full of love and horror, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is surely a show that will kill. |
