English teacher Kimberly Holl returned to Buhach Colony after taking a year off to be with her newborn daughter. Holl is returning for her eleventh year of teaching. She planned on being a stay at home mom, but things changed and her passion reemerged. In the course of the year, she realized that being a stay-at-home mom wasn't up her alley and decided to come back to teach English One and Honors English Two at Buhach Colony High School.
Before starting your teaching career, what college did you attend?
I attended Merced Junior College then transferred to Fresno State my junior year.
What brought you back to Buhach after leaving?
I missed job and the kids that I worked with along with their families. If I were to teach anywhere, I wanted it to be here, in my community.
How many kids do you have, and names?
Kaia is seven, Evie is seventeen months and I am married
What do you like to do when you're not teaching?
I read, I do a lot of crafty stuff, and as a family we travel.
What inspires you?
My paycheck.. (laughs) No, no. The connections that I make with my kids and when I see them do well in the future, it really makes me feel like I have done my job.
