Freshman Kathleen Stahlnecker was elected FFA Lowerclassmen of the Month, for the month of September. FFA advisor Valerie Von Allman said “Kathleen was works very well in all of her classes and she is highly involved in the FFA. Not only does she attend every meeting, but she has helped out at just about, if not all, of the FFA activities so far this year.”
How does it feel to be elected FFA student of the month? It actually felt really amazing because I'm only a greenhand, which means it's my first year in FFA. What FFA activities have you been involved with so far this year? |
My first FFA event was greenhand leadership conference. I also helped plan and participated in the Buhach Colony FFAs Relay for Life team and I lead my Opening and Closing team as our team president for the Opening and Closing competition. In the near future, I will be running for a Greenhand officer.
What is your favorite thing about FFA?
Definitely the food! After every meeting there is food. Our first meeting we had ice cream and I think we are having nachos at our next meeting. But I also love the friendships that the club has helped me make.
If you could have one superpower what would it be?
I kinda really want to be like Elastigirl for The Incredibles movie. I want to be flexible and be able to stretch myself that far.
If you were a fruit which would you be?
I’m thinking a strawberry. Thy are my favorite fruit and one that a lot of people like. I would want to be one that is liked by everybody, which is why I didn’t choose cantaloupe.
What is one thing not many people know about you?
That I’m a dancer. I take ballet classes at Merced Academy of Dance and I also am a teacher's assistant, so I help out in some of the younger girls classes.
