Football
The varsity football team has a current record of 2-3. When the team wins however, it is an explosive victory with both wins having scores of 46 and 63. Top players on the team consist of seniors Kory Woods (5’11” 215 lbs), Jace Alcazar (6’ 215 lbs), Logan Lemas (6’3 205 lbs) , and Hunter Stefani (5’11 245 lbs). Coach Kevin Navarra has been quoted saying “The team has had big wins vs. Enochs and Pacheco High Schools. They have worked hard on the field and are looking forward to League. The defense has forced several turnovers, and has been strong overall.” The team aims to win League and get back into the playoffs with their toughest opponents being Turlock and Merced. Here are some stats for our top players:
Woods [Running Back, Inside LineBacker] - 28 Tackles (9 Solo, 19 Assists), 209 yds, 3 TD’s
Alcazar [Outside Linebacker, Tight End] - 18 Tackles (11 Solo, 7 Assists, 6 sacks 2 Receptions for 45 yds
Lemas [Receiver, Safety] - 2 Interceptions 28 Receiving Yards, 3 Catches, 1 TD, 22 Tackles
Stefani [Defensive Line, Offensive Line] - 25 Tackles, ( 14 Solo, 11 Assists), 2 Sacks

Atwater and Merced will be tough to beat but our goal is to finish in the top 10 at Subsections and qualify for the Sac-Joaquin Section Finals at Folsom HS.”
