George Aduero Speaks on Behalf of the Power of Friendship
By Writer,
Reggie Lyle As many people know, high school is an important part of life in which adolescents learn and grow not only physically, but emotionally. In this time it is always best to have someone with you or to be friendly to those around you. If you don't believe it from me take it from George Aduero. 72 year old Aduero was born in Texas and grew up in a Mexican family. This incredible man not only served our country, but had the entire high school experience. Aduero was a receiver for his high school football team and he loved the thrill of making touchdowns. Aside from sports, he would play the saxophone. Of course, he couldn’t have done any of that without his family, friends, and loved ones by his side. As a |

child, Aduero’s family supported his dreams and aspirations in life.
George’s family supports him now by coming to Anberry to visit him and see how he is doing. What is so important is to keep family close and have good connections with them because no matter what, they will be with you till the end. From Texas to California, George’s family remained in contact with him and now visits. When family is not around, he has friends in Anberry who keep him company. Throughout his life, Aduero has learned to be a true friend and keep great relationships with friends. Friendship holds a strong place in his heart. When asked what the biggest thing he has learned in life, he responded with, “Being a friend.” People may underestimate the power of friendship. I think that we should take notes from this amazing man because a friendship can last a lifetime.
Unfortunately for George, his biggest struggle in life was bettering himself. Gratefully, over time he has been shaped into a strong and great man who still has the same aspirations as he did as a child; to be a friend. George wished he had been more studious and involved in his high school, but everything seemed to work out. He stated, “The advice I’d give to a high school student is to study and be friendly.” As you can see, being a friend may be one of the most important things to George.
