If you didn't know every day of the year has a special day and a meaning behind it, some are silly, some are normal, and some are just plain odd. There were lots of silly, fun days that are going on this year but i just decided to chose a random day of this month, I picked out March 2nd. Why March 2nd you may ask, well because it's in the beginning of the month March and I just like the number 2 it’s my lucky number. There happen to be three things that are Nationally celebrated this month, even though one of them doesn't even have a background story the rest do.
March 2nd is national old stuff day! I know it's weird why would anyone want to have a national day for their old stuff, well what goes on this day is people just take out old things they may have either hiding in the back of their closet, under their bed,or wherever you hide the hideous things you wish you didn't own and make them into something new and improve that you actually like. “Out with the old and in with the new”.
Aside of March 2nd being the day you change up old things in your life , it also is national Banana Cream Pie day! Yum even though there is no specific reason why this pie national day is March 2nd but it's a good excuse to have a cheat day and eat some Banana Cream Pie.
Also March 2nd has a national holiday maybe you all have heard of and its National Read Across America day, also known as Dr. Seuss birthday. This national day started on March 2nd, 1998 basically when we were babies and didn't even know what a book was. Every year National Read Across America has been celebrated on March 2nd, and if for any motive this day lands on a weekend it's moved to the nearest weekday. Why? you may ask, it's so teachers from all grade levels have their students participate in this amazing event. The place you can find all these crazy events is on a website called nationaldaycaldender.com it gives you a specific national day of any month you choose. It’s crazy to find out about national days you didn't even know existed.
