Secret Service Protect Candidates in the Election Convention

The job of Secret Service is very long and extensive. Many people underestimate the job. They risk their life everyday to help protect the lives of the candidates. Without secret service, candidates could be hurt or even worse, but thanks to secret service they do everything in their power to stop that from happening. The election convention went very well, except a fight. The fight caused a slight disruption. The secret service was on it and shut down both fights immediately. All members of secret service including: Aaron Helfgot, Natalie Prado, Andrew Bertuccio, and Ariana Garcia helped protect candidate Karlee Hobs.

All members of secret service including: Aaron Helfgot, Natalie Prado, Andrew Bertuccio, and Ariana Garcia helped protect candidate Karlee Hobs.

Without the help of the secret service delegate Christian Renteria could have brutally injured the candidate. As you can see, the secret service plays a vital role in the election convention. According to history teacher John Bliss, “The responsibility of secret service is to insure an orderly recession for candidates to and from the stage leading up to and following their presentation regarding their position.” He later on stated,”They make the election run in an orderly fashion and allow for a very structured and well-managed election convention and help to make it even more valid.”
Secret service agents were interviewed and asked multiple questions about their job as well as themselves. According to Natalie Prado,”I am secret service and I walk the candidates down the aisle and make sure no one hurts them. Do I like my job? Yes I do because I get to dress fancy.” It’s a bit of a bonus for Natalie Prado because not only does she protect lives, but she gets to look good while doing it. |
