Happy holidays Buhach Colony students and staff! For a little celebration, I asked Buhach students what their traditions for the holidays were, whether it was small or big. There were a lot of wonderful responses and I chose a couple responses from random students. Each response follows with a question and a great answer.
Freshman Olivia Ledesma:
All the females in the family get together and make tamales. Every year we do this and every year they get better and better. Earliest memory? Since I was super little, we would always make tamales so I don’t remember the first time I made tamales. All the men just like hangout and watch football or something. |
Sophomore Kiana Pineda:
My christmas tradition is to wake up early in the morning than my sister and I would make breakfast for the whole family. After we ate breakfast we would all open presents. After we opened our presents we would all get ready to go to the snow so we can go snowboarding, ice skating, and skiing. If we don't end up going to the snow we go to my family's house in Turlock. What would you end up doing at Turlock? We would either go to the ice skating rink there or hang out at my aunt’s house all day. |
